EPG Landfill Moisture Sensors are designed to be used in bioreactors and landfill recirculation systems to sense the moisture content of their surroundings. This low-cost sensor can be installed in a horizontal or vertical position or it can be suspended in any borehole. The EPG Landfill Moisture Sensor provides 0-100% moisture content measurement with 4/20 mA output, and draws only .015 mA at 24 VDC.
Sensor Features:
- Takes on same moisture characteristics as surrounding material
- Drying time is consistent with surrounding material
- Direct horizontal or vertical burial or can be suspended in any borehole
- PVC and stainless steel construction
- Electronic circuit is sealed, potted, liquid-tight, and can be submerged in leachate up to 10 feet
- Tested in low and high ph liquids to guarantee linearity of signal
- 4/20 mA output
- Available with no-splice jacketed cable up to 500 feet
- Optional temperature feed back option (4-20 mA or thermistor)
